Yo Yolanda - Make connections
I can relate to this story because I have younger and older siblings who need a second opinion on things so i also give them advise on how and what to do in difficult situations. I tell them the right things to do, or at least what I think is right thing. Like in the story on pg.53 it says " How do you let someone know that you like them? Does it work? " My younger sister often asks me questions like that and I'd tell her what I would do.
Yo Yolanda - Authors Purpose
This is a story about people asking for advise from Yolanda which is the main character of the story. I think the authors purpose is to inform readers that if you find yourself in a jiffy you could always ask for help and to never be afraid of what other people might think. " a relationship is a two way street. Make sure you do nice things for him too " pg. 15. What the author means by that is to always treat your partner the same way you want to be treated.

Night - Make Connections
This story reminds me of the civil rights movement when the blacks were getting treated like trash because of the color of their skin. Its the same type of story just different ways to be tortured.
Night - Authors purpose
I think the authors purpose is to inform readers the cruelty that went on back in those days. Another point i believe the author was trying to get across was that being a different nationality gives no one the right to try to eliminate them because God put everybody on this earth for a special reason.
Night - Make Predictions
I just started reading this book and so far I've read that there is a young Jewish boy who was in Sighet, Transylvania that would have to go to a concentration camp. Elie Wiesel is the main character and him and his family have been taken out of their home. I think once they get to the concentration camp thing will only get worse for them.

Wizards of Waverly place - authors purpose
I think the purpose of this book / TV series was to entertain the youth, Not only for entertainment but as well as to teach us a lesson that being different isn't wrong, and to never be ashamed of who you are as a person.
Wizards of Waverly Place - Describe/ Relate characters
I can relate to Alex because she and I have the same ideas on the same things. I'm not irresponsible like Alex is, but I do some of the same things. Such as being childish in serious moments. Whereas Alex once lost her younger sibling. Although Alex is very irresponsible she is still very sweet until you do something to upset her. I am the exact same way. We don't mean to be mean all the time its just us as people.
